PIN
A PIN is a personal identification number used to authorize card transactions or withdrawals. Know the PIN for each card before you travel, because some terminals and machines prefer a PIN, and a card whose PIN you rarely use is a common cause of a declined withdrawal. Some cards require a particular PIN length or format, so confirm this with your issuer. Shield the keypad when you enter it, and avoid repeated wrong attempts, which can block the card.
