JNTO

JNTO is the Japan National Tourism Organization, which provides visitor information about traveling in Japan, including practical topics such as transport passes, payments and shopping. It is the source this site cites for the planned change to Japan's tourist tax-free system on 1 November 2026. Information for visitors changes, so treat its current pages as the reference and check them close to your departure.
