Bank of Japan
The Bank of Japan is Japan's central bank. It describes itself as a juridical person established under the Bank of Japan Act, and its objectives include issuing banknotes, carrying out currency and monetary control, and ensuring smooth settlement of funds among banks; the Act states that monetary control shall be aimed at achieving price stability. It publishes English information on the yen and on its policies. For the price you will actually pay in a shop or at an ATM, your provider's rate is what counts.
